Batch Mailing List in Laravel

I am looking to add a mailing list feature to our website. I haven’t seen anything that quite fits what I am wanting to achieve. I want to allow people to sign up for a mailing list. There are two ways that I am thinking of this.
A – A mailing list table that can be accessed from the user creation form. This would require it to be added as a pivot in the user table.
B – Create a mailinglist table with a mailing list_id column that is a foreign key to the users table. This would allow the user to add to the mailing list and only the mailing list id is stored in the mailing list table.
Is there anything else that I should be considering?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can do a pivot just the way you said, but the mailing list table should be merged with the users table in case you later need to store other data relating to the mailing list.
That way you can add more users into the mailing list at any time without being confused by the mailing list field in the user table.
