Shiloh Inn, Salt Lake City, Utah.  On August 3, 1978, a woman threw herself and six children to their deaths off the balcony of room 1105.  The mass homicide is the largest mass murder in Utah history and culminated in one man's (Bruce Longo) attempt to take over the Mormon church.  The suicide/homicide victims who leaped from the window of what was at that time the International Dunes Hotel were the wife and children of Longo, who himself had committed suicide the previous day.  The state of Utah has gone to great lengths to try to erase this "event"  from its history.  The entire "event" is choreographed in this video, as well as the results of a three-day investigation of the room where the event occurred.  Previous guests have reported waking up with the apparition of a child sitting in a chair in the room and that the elevator often goes up to the 11th floor when not engaged in doing so, sometimes stranding folks on the 11th floor.  The elevator malfunction happened to us also, and we witnessed it to others when we rode the elevator.  For me, this was a nervous hunt.  I slept little over the three days just knowing that children had been thrown to death from the room's window.

The Shiloh Inn  was purchased by and is now a Holiday Inn Express as of October 2014

Shiloh Inn, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Here is a shortened version of the above video which deletes all the specifics of the crime element for those viewers who are sensitive to the subject of suicide/homicide.

The Seven Wives in St. George, Utah.  If you google a search on "Utah Haunted," this Bed and Breakfast always seems to turn up, and that is a mystery as to why it does.  The folks who work here say that they have never seen or felt anything out of the normal, but many guests write in their reviews of the property that the atmosphere is just plain "creepy" and that the place smells odd.  We tackle both of these claims in this video and explain why people perceive that to be so.  We also give a video review of all the rooms so that if you want to book a stay here, you will have an idea of the interior of the space you will be getting.  Did we catch any activity?  Yeah, actually, we did capture some with the REM pod, but it wasn't very strong and it seemed to fluctuate in and out as it so desired.  We also give our take on why this may be so.

The Brigham Young winter home is directly catty-corner across from the Seven Wives Inn.  When the snows set in around the Salt Lake area, Mormon church leader Brigham Young would commute south to this abode into somewhat warmer temperatures to escape his arthritis (it was as far south as he could get without being in the state of Nevada).  While the owner of the Seven Wives Inn had seven wives that he had to hide in the attic once polygamy was outlawed, Brigham Young had fifty-five wives.  This winter home is now a Utah State Park and gives guided tours almost every hour led by church docents.  I was permitted to video inside and kept up with showing what the docent was talking about as much as possible.  I also smuggled in a K2 EMF meter and did get some readings in one room (the indentured slave quarters) which was unexpected.
