I have worked with quite a few graphics workstations over the years and I have come to prefer the PDF workflow, probably because it makes the most sense to me. In every other workflow, the raw creation and editing process is so fragmented, and so much of the time is spent, that I often end up working effectively without a clue as to what the final content will look like. For me, this creates a lot of anxiety where everything is driven by my memory.

In the documents workflow, you are in complete control of the document and able to make as many changes as you wish before handing it off to an InDesign, Acrobat or another publisher. You are able to view, check and, if necessary update the content and look at it side on for tweaks.

Using a sketch I can get started planning my shot. First, I’ll always sketch on paper, even if I’m in Adobe Sketch or Photoshop.
