My l just reinstalled vista on my desktop. I have two pcs this machine is running windows 7 64 bit it has a standard video card. What I need help with is it will not recognize my graphics card ever since I intalled vist it will not load windows any driver will not help. all my research say my card is fine.

I’m already very uncomfortable by that system. I can’t even boot up to boot repair from Ubuntu. After the Linux install went fine after 20 minutes (which I’m fairly guessing may have been the I/O time, as both of my hard drives are SATA) the Win10 install did not like the settings of my motherboard for the SATA ports. My tests showed that setting the settings to RAID 0/1 did not work while it did after I rebooted into Linux. I finally found the answer for anyone in future, the preferred SATA mode of my motherboard is P1.0 (not P1.1) which is why I could not boot. BIOS settings do not matter outside of the POST, I don’t think.
