I had never used this tool before this version. While I was surprised at the time, I have gotten used to it quickly. It does produce better results than the Photos app, which is what there was before.
I will give the program a 9. I don’t think there are any add-ons that it doesn’t have. It is a very stable program, and has all the capabilities I was expecting. It is always amazing when a new update where existing features are enhanced in more ways than one. And it seems that the new Photo Patterns function improves on many things that made the app great in the past. I am very happy with this update.

The changes I have mentioned in this review are among the more noticeable improvements in Photoshop CS6. The new system of insta-linking of images is a huge step forward, and now makes Apple’s iPhoto app a distant memory. If you haven’t already seen it, Photoshop has now been redesigned, as has the core interface. As always, any time you have a new version of a paid application, you’re going to expect a slew of new features. And in this case, that’s exactly what you’re going to get. Take an image that’s just been shot, for instance. You can now use the new smart (AI-based) tools and crop it, potentially leave it uncropped, and add a filter to it. Adobe’s timeline is a brilliant feature, too. It goes back in time (or forwards, as they say) to the moment of creation, allowing you to make any adjustments or create new layers. You can easily move that image back in time, and layer the changes you see immediately, too. It’s all very handy. And what about features like layers? Of course you need them with the advanced tools and edits. I’ll be doing a more in-depth review of the new layers in a future update.
